Grape vine technology recommendation

1) Application: Beginning of flowering

Boron assists with the transportation of carbohydrates and sugars within the plants, the formation and fertilization of flowers, as well as coping with stressful situations (e.g., wind, sand, hail, large temperature fluctuations, cold periods). It enhances the stability of the cell wall, making it essential for plant life. In its absence, fertility decreases, and attachment is hindered. Being an essential microelement, its presence is vital for all crops, especially grapes and fruit crops.

2) Application: Fruit setting
1 l/ha BIOSHIELD + 2 l/ha ORGANIT ZINC
Zinc deficiency results in intervertebral chlorosis of the upper leaves, followed by complete whitening of the leaf blade. The leaves remain tiny, and the auxin deficiency causes distorted and rosetting leaves, and stunting. The absence of zinc causes disturbances in flower and crop formation, which can lead to crop losses of up to 80%. Grapes are especially sensitive to zinc insufficiency.

3) Application: Bunch closure
1 l/ha BIOSHIELD + 3 l/ha ORGANIT COPPER + SULFUR
Copper has a beneficial effect on plant development. It makes tissues stronger and more resilient. A steady copper supply thickens the epidermis, and thus the crops become more resistant to fungal infections. Sulfur is also beneficial for grape vines: in addition to improving the amino acid content (and therefore the wine’s palate), it prevents powdery mildew. The uptake of these nutrients is aided by humic and fulvic acids.

4) Application: Veraison
1 l/ha BIOSHIELD + 2 l/ha ORGANIT IRON
Common symptoms of iron deficiency include restricted growth and weak flower setting. The setting and coloring of berries is also limited. Longer periods of iron deficiency may cause the chlorosis of all leaves, followed by necrosis, leaf loss, and branch death. In grape vines, poor fruit setting and limited cane growth may occur.
